Are your little ones ready to read 1,000 books before kindergarten? Of course they are! Research shows that reading with your child creates valuable opportunities for bonding and learning. Reading in an interactive style can even increase a child’s IQ by up to six points. Most importantly, reading together helps build the early literacy skills children need for lifelong success.
You can log your books online, through the Beanstack app, or by using the reading log provided by the library. Be sure to include books read by parents, caregivers, teachers, and siblings—every book counts toward your child’s goal!
Along the way, your child will earn fun stickers to mark each 100-book milestone. When they reach 1,000 books, they will receive a special book of their own to keep and take home.
